There is an emerging paradigm that builds on the connections between healthy, empowered communities and diverse, resilient ecosystems. Come join us for an evening of presentation and facilitated discussion, as we explore how to strategically connect our own work with this emerging movement. Liberation Ecology: Permaculture and Power Wednesday & Thursday, May 26 & 27 9:00 am-4:00 pm both days $40-75 sliding scale (work-study available) What would "sustainability" look like, if it refused to sustain racism? What could "liberation" look like in a society headed for ecological collapse? In this two-day experiential workshop, participants develop answers to these questions in an environment of collaboration, experiment, and wrestling with some hard questions. Design projects, the Daylighting Exercises, presentation, and facilitated discussion, help participants draw maps of our situation, and chart new paths for their own work, forward to a truly sustainable society. www.liberationecology.org Questions: email Melissa Ennen melnn@mac.com http://liberationecology.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/jrafterferguson.JPG -- Natalie |
